Richard Phegley

Richard Phegley has extensive experience in executive roles in the retail industry. Richard is currently the Executive Vice President at Chedraui USA, overseeing a multi-banner retailer with over 375 stores in 5 US states. Prior to this, they served as the Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer at Smart & Final Holdings Corp., a $5 billion food-oriented retailer. In this role, they played a critical role in various M&A and financing transactions. Richard also served as the Vice President & Treasurer, where they established a comprehensive treasury and risk management department. Before joining Smart & Final, Richard worked at Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO) in corporate finance, treasury, and strategic planning.

Richard Phegley earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Humboldt State University between the years 1973 and 1977. Richard then attended USC Marshall School of Business from 1977 to 1979, where they obtained an MBA degree with a focus on Finance and Operations Research. In 1995, they also received certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
