Umar Farooq

Umar Farooq has extensive experience in retail FMCG and procurement management. Umar started their career at METRO/MAKRO Cash and Carry as an Assistant Purchase Manager, where they conducted market research and analysis. Umar later joined Agrow Limited as a Category Manager, responsible for establishing a rural retail network. After that, they worked at SAEED AHMED AL MAHROOS GROUP OF COMPANIES as a Procurement Assistant Manager and at Majid Al Futtaim as a Category Manager. Currently, they are working at Cheetay as a Category Manager, specializing in retail FMCG e-commerce. Throughout their career, Umar has demonstrated skills in supplier negotiation, sourcing, merchandising, market research, and procurement.

Umar Farooq completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Specialized Sales, Merchandising, and Marketing Operations from the University of the Punjab. Umar attended the university from 2010 to 2012.
