Somudro Gupta

Somudro Gupta is the Head of AI at Chef Robotics, having previously served as the Head of Software. They held the position of Head of Autonomous Vehicle Engineering at Embark Trucks from 2020 to 2022 and contributed significantly as the motion planning and controls lead, as well as a software engineer. Somudro began their career at Lutron Electronics as a Project Mechanical Engineer and later engaged in impactful research at the University of Texas at Austin, focusing on human-centered robotics. With a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, Somudro has developed expertise in robotics, software development, and autonomous systems throughout their diverse engineering career.
