Sameer Adams

Sameer Adams has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Sameer started their career in 2005 as a Business Analyst/Developer at Woolworths. From there, they moved on to Open Box Software, where they held multiple roles including Business & Systems Analyst/Developer, Analyst/Developer, Project Lead/Technical Architect, Lead Technical Architect, and Solutions Architect/Development Manager. In 2013, Sameer joined Coronation Fund Managers as a Web Developer and Release Manager. Sameer then progressed within the company, taking on roles as Team Leader: Business Engagement and Operations, Head of Development: Business Engagement and Operations, and currently serves as the Head of Development, responsible for a range of technology streams including Business Engagement, Trade Lifecycle Management, and Operations. Additionally, Sameer co-founded EduEngage NPO in 2015 and served as the Co-Founder and CTO, responsible for all technology and implementation decisions.

Sameer Adams has a diverse and extensive education history spanning multiple fields. Sameer completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Cumbria from 2021 to 2023. Prior to that, in 2020, Sameer attended INSEAD for a course in "Strategy in the Age of Digital Disruption" with a focus on leadership, digital transformation, and innovation. Sameer also studied "Data Science Essentials" at the University of California, Berkeley, covering data science, people management, and strategy.

In 2018, Sameer attended the MIT Sloan School of Management for two separate programs. Sameer studied "Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy," which included learning about artificial intelligence, business strategy, and technology. Additionally, they completed a program on "Business Process Design for Strategic Management," focusing on business administration and management.

Earlier in 2017, Sameer attended Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, for the "Oxford Fintech Programme," where they gained knowledge in fintech. In 2006, they acquired a Bachelor of Commerce, Honours (B.Com. Hons) degree in Information Systems from the University of Cape Town. Sameer had previously completed their Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Information Systems from the same institution from 2003 to 2005.

Apart from formal degrees, Sameer has pursued additional certifications. Sameer obtained a J.P. Morgan School of Finance Programme certificate in October 2020. In December 2019, they completed the "Python for Finance: Investment Fundamentals & Data Analytics" course from Udemy. Sameer also holds certifications in "Digital Marketing - Inbound Certification" from HubSpot (May 2016) and "Project Management Essentials" from the Faculty Training Institute (October 2015).

Furthermore, Sameer has obtained various technical certifications including "ASP.NET 5," "Architecture In Practice," "DevOps - Visual Studio Release Management Jump Start," "Developing ASP.NET MVC 4 Web Applications Jump Start," "HTML5 App Development Fundamentals," "Building Web Apps with ASP.NET Jump Start," "Database Fundamentals," "Enterprise Developer Camp Jump Start," "Fundamentals of Lean Software Delivery Jump Start," and "Software Development Fundamentals" from Microsoft during July 2014 and June 2015.
