Gabriella Cani

Gabriella Cani has a diverse and extensive work experience. Gabriella started their career at PwC in 2000 as an Associate/Senior Associate and worked there until 2003. Gabriella then joined PKF International as an Audit Manager, where they were responsible for planning, reviewing, and project managing assurance and advisory assignments.

In 2005, Gabriella moved to Xchanging - A CSC Company, where they took on multiple roles. As the Head of Procurement - Resourcing Services, they led and delivered five resourcing categories for Xchanging's biggest customer, BAE Systems, achieving significant savings and revenue. Gabriella also served as the Head of Operational Finance and Accounting, managing a large finance shared service center across the UK and India. Additionally, they held the role of Head of Customer Finance, where they built key relationships with blue-chip customers across various sectors.

From 2011 to 2017, Gabriella worked at CHEK Europe as a Finance Director, growing the business's revenue substantially. Gabriella managed the day-to-day financial operations, prepared management and statutory accounts, and handled tax and VAT returns.

In 2016, Gabriella briefly worked as an Interim Financial Accountant at Centrica Exploration and Production. Their responsibilities included reviewing contracts, analyzing and reconciling SAP data, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of invoicing.

Most recently, Gabriella joined Fat Media Limited in 2017 as a Senior Finance Manager, where they played a crucial role in financial management until 2019.

In 2019, Gabriella became the Chief Financial Officer at CHEK Institute, where they currently hold a leadership position.

Gabriella Cani attended North Bolton Sixth Form College from 1995 to 1997. During this time, they obtained A levels in Chemistry (B), Mathematics (B), and History (C), as well as an AS level in Physics (C). After completing their A levels, Gabriella went on to study at Durham University from 1997 to 2000. Gabriella earned their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Chemistry. In addition to their formal education, Gabriella also obtained certifications in Integrated Movement Science Level 2 from the Chek Institute in February 2010, and they became ACA Qualified from ICAEW, although the specific details of the certification are not provided.
