Kara O’Brien

Kara O’Brien is an experienced event management professional with a strong background in both leadership and operational roles. Currently serving as the Director of Events at Mount Auburn Cemetery since March 2025, O’Brien also holds the position of Event Manager & Support at LIFE Event Staffing. Previous roles include Gymnastics Team Coach at Chelsea Piers Connecticut, Director of Events & Development at The National Pancreas Foundation, and Director of Events & Operations at Powered by Professionals, where responsibilities encompassed both leadership and operational aspects of event management. O’Brien has also worked in various capacities at the Girl Scouts of Greater New York, Girl Scouts of the USA, Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, Marquee Events featuring the Gershon Fox Ballroom, and Cooper's Hawk Winery and Restaurants. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from Southern New Hampshire University.
