Co-founder and CTO at CheMastery Group Ltd

Stefan Glatzel has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as the Co-founder and CTO of cheMastery Group Ltd, a position they have held since November 2019. Before that, they founded and served as the Director of cheMastery Ltd. in 2018.

In 2019, Stefan was a member of the EF LD13 Cohort at Entrepreneur First, a program that brings together talented individuals to build startups. During their time there, they gained valuable experience in developing ideas, building co-founding teams, and fundraising.

Prior to their entrepreneurial ventures, Stefan worked as a Principal Development Engineer at DeepMatter Ltd. from January 2016 to October 2018. Stefan also has research experience, having worked as a Research Fellow at The University of Glasgow, where they designed and built robotic platforms for laboratory automation. Stefan also served as a Research Associate at the same institution.

Stefan's academic background includes a doctorate from the Max-Planck-Institute of Colloids and Interfaces, where they conducted research from September 2010 to February 2013. Stefan also worked as a Postgraduate Research Student at the University of Bristol and completed a Diploma Thesis at the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Polymer Research.

Before their research and entrepreneurial pursuits, Stefan briefly worked as a Research Assistant at the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Polymer Research and as a Programmer at Ramboll Management Consulting.

Stefan Glatzel completed their education in a chronological manner. Stefan attended Käthe-Kollwitz Oberschule from 1997 to 2001 and obtained an Abitur degree with a focus on Chemistry and Mathematics. Stefan then moved on to Bourne High School from 2001 to 2002, and subsequently attended Käthe-Kollwitz Oberschule again from 2002 to 2004. It is unclear whether they obtained any degree during these periods. Stefan then pursued their higher education at the University of Kassel from 2005 to 2010, earning a Diploma in Nanostrukturwissenschaft – Nanostructure and Molecular Sciences. Finally, they completed their Doctor rer. nat. (PhD) in Colloid Chemistry from the Max-Planck-Institute of Colloids and Interfaces, where they studied from 2010 to 2013.
