James Mortensen

James Mortensen currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Chemring Group PLC since November 2023. Prior to this role, James held various positions at Smiths Group plc from September 2016 to September 2023, including Group Head of Corporate Development, where responsibilities included leading corporate strategy for acquisitions and divestments, and Group Head of M&A, overseeing all aspects of mergers and acquisitions. Additionally, from August 2020 to February 2022, James was the Chief Financial Officer at Smiths Medical, managing fiscal reporting and providing financial leadership. James Mortensen earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology/Biological Sciences from the University of Bristol.
