Gopalakrishna's work experience started in 1987 as a Design Engineer at Microfinish Valves Pvt. Ltd, where they designed different types of ball valves and built fire safe testing rigs. gopalakrishna then worked as a Production Engineer at Bhandary industrial Metals Pvt. Ltd from 1988 to 1991. Since 1991, Gopalakrishna has been associated with Chemtrols Industries as an Associate Vice President, responsible for engineering, production, and service related to steam bypass valves and steam desuperheaters. gopalakrishna has also handled various jobs related to welding procedures and ASME U and PED stamps.
Gopalakrishna Alike completed their pre-university education from Sri Satya Sai Loka Seva Institutions Alike, specializing in Physics, Mathematics, and Biology. gopalakrishna started studying there in 1975 and finished in 1982. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical field from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka. gopalakrishna attended this institute from 1983 to 1987.
