Val Harkless

Val Harkless is a seasoned fraud analyst with extensive experience in regulatory and investigative roles. Currently serving as a Senior Fraud Analyst at the Securities and Exchange Commission for Chenega Corporation, Val conducts advanced analytical work focused on securities-related fraud, assisting the ESG Task Force and reviewing BSA SAR filings. Val's prior experience includes a position as a Health Fraud Investigator for Qlarant, where investigations targeted Medicare and Medicaid fraud, and a Special Investigator role with the California Department of Industrial Relations, focusing on workers' compensation fraud. Additionally, Val worked as a Forfeiture and Seizure Analyst at the FBI, providing guidance on asset forfeiture processes. Military experience as a Logistics Specialist in the Army National Guard adds to a diverse background. Val holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from recognized institutions.
