Alin

Alin Mechenici has a strong background in founding and leading various digital businesses. In 2007, they founded PR Patrat, a digital services and solutions organization that focused on cloud-based products for event management and online learning platforms. Alin successfully coordinated a large project for Heineken Romania and worked with clients in the medical, education, and corporate sectors. In 2013, they founded Highway to Business, where they provided bespoke digital solutions for Scandinavian small and medium enterprises. This involved IT consultancy, data protection, project management, training, and technical support. Additionally, they organized NASA SpaceApps Challenge editions and hosted a podcast with clients from the Mjardevi Science Park. Most recently, in 2019, Alin founded CHENIST Cybersecurity, where they assist businesses in becoming resilient against cyber threats. This includes prevention, detection, response, and recovery measures, as well as infrastructure solutions, cloud management, and cyber security processes and solutions.

Alin Mechenici holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations from Scoala Nationala de Studii Politice si Administrative (SNSPA), obtained between 2005 and 2009. Alin also attended the University of Craiova for the Faculty of Electro-Mechanics, Industrial Robots from 2004 to 2006, but did not obtain a degree in that field. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained certifications in CSR management, CSR, social and civic competences, and train of trainers from the National Council for Adult Vocational Training: VET (/CNFPA), with the years of obtaining these certifications ranging from 2011 to 2013.
