Michael T. Redmond

Michael Redmond is the Chief Financial Officer for ChenMed. An officer of the company and a member of the ChenMed board of directors, Michael is responsible for all financial operations of ChenMed’s medical, consulting, and technology businesses.

Michael brings extensive experience in accounting, financial reporting, business development, and strategy for health care and technology companies to his leadership role at ChenMed. Michael is passionate about ChenMed's mission to bring concierge-style medicine and better health outcomes to the neediest populations, and his experience with companies at different stages of the business lifecycle helps ChenMed fuel innovation and make inroads to new markets.

Michael was previously Chief Financial Officer for Aetna's accountable care solutions business, where he led all financial operations. These operations included the financial engineering of risk-based business opportunities to offer providers the resources and capabilities needed to deliver on value-based care arrangements. Michael started at Aetna in 2009 and served in a variety of roles including head of finance and strategy for Aetna's federal employees health benefits program business and head of cost strategy for Aetna's national accounts business.

Prior to joining Aetna, Michael spent five years at CIGNA in financial leadership roles across the enterprise including health care strategy, financial planning, information technology and managed care accounting. From 2000 to 2004, he was controller and business unit finance officer for the U.S. business of Integralis A.G., a leading information technology security firm headquartered in Germany. Before working at Integralis, Michael was a supervising senior in KPMG's information, communications and entertainment audit and advisory services practice in New York City.

Michael is a graduate of CIGNA's Financial Development Program and Aetna's Financial Leadership Program. He is a certified public accountant and holds a B.S. in accounting from Fordham University.
