Allan Humphrey has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Allan began their career as an HVAC installer at Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning, where they gained hands-on experience in HVAC installations and duct cleaning. In 2013, they had a summer position at Barrick Gold Corporation's Hemlo Operations. Allan then worked as a peer tutor at Fanshawe College and later became a site coordinator for Let's Talk Science at Fanshawe College. Allan also worked as a research assistant for the Ontario Ginseng Growers Association and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, where they assisted with molecular biology research projects and laboratory work. Allan further expanded their laboratory experience as a laboratory technician at Carleton University and the CHEO Research Institute. Allan's skills include gene cloning, nucleic acid extraction, qPCR analysis, insect rearing, and general lab maintenance. Allan also has experience in product development, supply chain management, and negotiating bulk pricing with suppliers.
Allan Humphrey has a diverse educational background. Allan obtained a Master's Degree in Biotechnology from the University of Guelph during the period of 2017 to 2018. Prior to that, they pursued an Honours Bachelor's Degree in Applied Technology - Biotechnology from Fanshawe College, completing it from 2013 to 2017. Furthermore, Allan acquired a College Diploma in Heating, Air Conditioning, Ventilation and Refrigeration Maintenance Technology/Technician (HVAC) from Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology, which they achieved in 2008.
In addition to their formal education, Allan has also obtained certifications in a specific field. Allan acquired the Gas Technician 2 certification from TSSA (Technical Standards and Safety Authority) in September 2008. Similarly, they obtained the Oil Burner Technician 2 certification from the same institution and in the same month and year of 2008.
