Bill Gardner

Director, Centre For Pediatric Health Services And Policy Research at CHEO

Bill Gardner has a diverse and extensive work experience. Bill started their career at the University of Pittsburgh as a Professor from 1990 to 2003. Bill then joined the Nationwide Children's Hospital as the Director of Biostatistics and also served as a Principal Investigator from 2003 to 2011. Following this, they worked at The Ohio State University as a Professor of Pediatrics, Psychology, and Psychiatry from 2003 to 2011. Bill then joined Dalhousie University as a Professor of Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and Epidemiology from 2011 to 2014. In 2014, they joined the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario as a Senior Research Scientist and later became the Director of the Centre for Pediatric Health Services and Policy Research. In 2016, they also started working at the University of Ottawa as the Chair in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Research and a Professor of Epidemiology, Public Health, and Preventive Medicine.

Bill Gardner earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Studies from Harvard University in the years 1971 to 1976. Bill then pursued further education at the University of Utah, obtaining a Master of Science degree in Statistics from 1980 to 1983, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Psychology from 1980 to 1985.
