Kimberly Courtney is a professional with extensive experience in child life and family engagement in research. Currently serving as a Family Engagement in Research (FER) Facilitator at the CHEO Research Institute since March 2021, Kimberly collaborates with patients and families to promote active participation in research. Additionally, Kimberly has worked as a Certified Child Life Specialist at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario since December 2017, providing assessments and treatment plans to support children's coping and development. Kimberly's background includes roles as an RECE with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board, a Child Life Intern, and an Art Instructor at Easter Seals Canada. Kimberly holds a Master of Health Science in Child Life and Psychosocial Care from McMaster University, alongside a Bachelor's degree from Tyndale University and various other relevant certifications and training, including a Doctor of Education in Child Study and Education in progress at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto.
