Melissa Carter

Melissa Carter is a Clinical Geneticist at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario since April 2016. Previously, Melissa served as the Medical Director of the Rett Syndrome Complex Care Clinic at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital from May 2013 to April 2016 and also worked as a Clinical Geneticist at SickKids from May 2011 to April 2016. Prior experience includes a Clinical Fellowship in Developmental Pediatrics at the University of Toronto from July 2009 to June 2011 and residency in Clinical Genetics at the University of Ottawa from July 2004 to June 2009. Melissa completed medical education at McMaster University, receiving an M.D. degree, and holds an M.Sc. in Molecular Genetics from Queen's University as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Biology with a minor in Psychology from the University of Guelph.
