Mark Holder has extensive work experience in the field of park management and facilities division. Mark started their career in 1992 as a Parks Coordinator with the City of Roswell, where they were responsible for managing the day to day operations of parks, recreation centers, trails, and green spaces. In this role, they supervised a team of nine employees and oversaw the maintenance of over 200 acres of parkland. Mark held this position for a remarkable 30 years before joining Cherokee County as the Facilities Division Director in 2022.

Mark Holder obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Berry College, where they attended from 1985 to 1990. Mark furthered their education by pursuing a Masters degree in Sport Science and Marketing at the United States Sports Academy, which they completed from 1990 to 1991.
