Dawn Kaaihue, MBA, has an extensive work experience in the field of accounting and finance. Dawn started their career in 2001 at Cherokee Nation Businesses, where they worked as an Accounting Supervisor for 12 years. During this time, they gained valuable experience in managing financial operations and supervising a team.
In 2013, Dawn joined Cherokee Federal as an Assistant Controller. In this role, they focused on developing employees, establishing procedures, and creating efficiencies within the organization. Dawn also played a key role in managing internal contracts and recording foreign currency conversions and transactions.
Dawn's responsibilities included conducting monthly reconciliations of the General Ledger, balancing bank statements, and preparing financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows.
