Joe Washum

Joe Washum is an experienced safety and security professional with a comprehensive background in various management roles. Currently serving as the Director of Safety and Environment at Cherokee Nation Businesses since October 2013, Joe previously held the position of Logistics Asset Protection Manager at Walmart from March 2005 to September 2013, where responsibilities included overseeing compliance, safety, and security programs. Joe also served as a Security Administrator at Local Oklahoma Bank, managing the physical security program for multiple banking centers and locations. Earlier experience includes a role as Facilities Management Supervisor at the Federal Reserve Bank, overseeing facilities personnel and projects, and as a police officer with the City of Denton Police Department. Joe holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Oklahoma.
