Monica Richards, CMA, has had a diverse and extensive work experience in the finance and accounting field. Monica started their career at Paragon Casino Resort, where they served as the Controller from 1994 to 2002. Monica then worked at Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino as the Director of Finance, overseeing various financial functions. Since 2006, Monica has been with Cherokee Nation Entertainment, initially serving as the Senior Director - Operational Accounting and later assuming the position of Vice President Finance. In this role, they have been responsible for managing and overseeing multiple departments and properties, including Hard Rock Casino and Resort. Monica has demonstrated their expertise in overseeing payroll and tax departments, writing policies and procedures, and assisting with contract reviews.
Monica Richards, CMA, holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Finance from Louisiana Tech University. Monica attended the university from 1989 to 2003. In April 2014, Monica obtained a certification as a Certified Management Accountant from The Institute of Certified Management Accountants.
