Abbe Smith

Abbe Smith is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Chief Communications Officer for the Cherry Creek School District since July 2017. Prior to this role, Abbe held the position of Director of Communications at the Connecticut State Department of Education from September 2015 to June 2017 and at New Haven Public Schools from August 2012 to September 2015. Abbe began the career in communications as a Press Aide for the Connecticut Senate Democrats in early 2012 and previously worked as a Reporter at the New Haven Register from February 2007 to January 2012. Abbe holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Dayton.
