Andreas Kurland has a long history of professional experience in a variety of roles. Andreas began their career in 1999 as a Weapons Maintenance Technician for the United States Air Force. In 2006, they joined Partners in Practice as Director of INSCRIBE Services, Client Relations Manager, and IT Help Desk. In 2011, they moved to the US Army as a Network Administrator. From 2014 to 2020, they worked as a Cybersecurity Analyst for the United States Marine Corps. In 2022, they began their current role as Senior Associate, Cybersecurity for The Chertoff Group.

Andreas Kurland's education history includes a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the University of South Florida between 2006 and 2008, and an Associate in Arts from the State College of Florida-Manatee-Sarasota in 2006. Additionally, they hold certifications from MITRE Engenuity, GIAC Certifications, CompTIA, and EC-Council, including the ATT&CK™ Cyber Threat Intelligence Certification and ATT&CK™ Security Operations Center Assessment Certification from MITRE Engenuity (obtained in September 2022), the GIAC Systems and Network Auditor from GIAC Certifications (obtained in January 2019), the GIAC Security Leadership from GIAC Certifications (obtained in April 2018), the CompTIA A+ (IT Technician) from CompTIA (obtained in February 2010), the CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner ce from CompTIA (obtained in January 2017), the CompTIA Security+ ce from CompTIA (obtained in May 2013), and the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) from EC-Council (obtained in May 2019).
