Laura Hembree

Laura Hembree is currently the Director of Finance and Operations at Chesapeake Bay Academy since October 2021. Prior to their current role, they worked as a Controller at Employment Services Inc. d/b/a Centura College; Tideewater Tech; AViation Institution Mechanics from January 2021 to November 2021. Before that, they served as an Assistant Controller at Employment Services Inc. d/b/a Centura College Tidewater Tech from January 2020 to November 2021. From March 2018 to January 2020, Laura worked as a Salaried Professional Consultant at Robert Half. Laura also has experience as an Accounting/Audit Manager at various small CPA firms from February 2014 to December 2017. Additionally, they served as a Controller at Ripley's Entertainment, Inc. from March 2013 to January 2014. Laura's earlier experience includes working as a Senior Manager - Professional Standards Group at Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP from August 2005 to March 2013.

Laura Hembree received their Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Orlando College, where they studied from 1988 to 1990. In addition to their academic background, they have obtained certifications as a Certified Public Accountant from both Virginia, which they received in August 2005, and Georgia, which they obtained in March 2003.
