Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum
Steve Byrnes has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies. Steve started their career as a VP/Controller at Vendor Funding Co Inc in 1984 and held various financial management roles at Newcourt Financial, LINC Capital Inc, and Blackwell Consulting Services. In 1998, Steve founded Northern Consulting LLC and served as the Managing Director until 2003 when they joined Capgemini Financial Services as a Principal. Steve later became Managing Director at Blackwell Consulting Services and then joined The Alta Group as a Managing Director in 2013. Steve then worked as a Senior Director at Capgemini from 2014 until 2017. Currently, they are serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum.
Steve Byrnes attended Sayville High School, although the dates of their education there were not provided. After high school, they enrolled at Dowling College from 1979 to 1983, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a concentration in Accounting. Steve then pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree specializing in Banking and Finance at Hofstra University between 1987 and 1992.

Established in 1965, the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to preserving and exploring the history, environment, and culture of the entire Chesapeake Bay region, and making this resource available to all.
