David Timms, CHSE, CHSOS has a diverse range of work experience in the healthcare industry. David started their career at Talbot County Emergency Services (DES) in 2001, where they worked as a Paramedic for 15 years until 2016. During their time there, they gained valuable experience in emergency medical services. In 2010, they joined Chesapeake College as a Clinical Coordinator and Assistant Professor of EMS. David held this position for 8 years and played a key role in coordinating clinical activities and teaching EMS courses. In 2016, they also started working as a Paramedic at Dorchester Emergency Services, where they remained until 2020. In 2018, they became the Director of Healthcare Simulation at Chesapeake College, overseeing healthcare simulation activities. Additionally, from 2018 to 2019, they served as the EMS Program Director at Chesapeake College. Overall, David Timms has a strong background in EMS and healthcare education, with a focus on simulation and program management.

David Timms, CHSE, CHSOS, holds a Master's degree in Distance Education from the University of Maryland Global Campus, which they obtained between 2014 and 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology, General from Salisbury University from 2000 to 2004. David also completed a Paramedic program at Chesapeake College in 2001. Their secondary education was at Easton High School, where they graduated between 1994 and 1998. In addition to their academic achievements, David has certifications as a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) and a Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS) from the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH), as well as a Paramedic certification from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.
