Alison Wood

Alison began her career as a computer programmer, having graduated with a Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science and a MSc in Financial Modelling. She has taught Mathematics and Computer Science at high school, college and university level and has held several curriculum leadership and management roles in further education (FE).

Alison made the move to MIS as Head of Data at a large FE college; bringing her analytical and programming skills, together with her curriculum knowledge, to impact the college’s OFSTED inspection around Outcomes, Data and Reporting. She then spent 4 years as a Director of Planning and Information Systems (but was still known to teach the occasional Further Maths class!) and has now joined Cheshire College – South & West in this role.
