Hilary Berk, MS, OTR/L, is an experienced occupational therapist currently working at Cheshire Fitness Zone Pediatric Therapy since October 2022. Prior to this role, Hilary Berk has held various positions in the field, including occupational therapist at Therapy Kinections since April 2014, and at HealthPRO/Heritage from October 2013 to 2019. Additional experience includes serving as an occupational therapist at Medstar Union Memorial Hospital from September 2008 to October 2013, and as an early intervention assistant with Baltimore County Public Schools from September 2005 to September 2008. Hilary Berk earned a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Towson University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Connecticut.
Cheshire Fitness Zone Pediatric Therapy
CFZ was designed specifically for children and adolescents of all ages and abilities. We feature three main therapy areas to include physical therapy (PT), occupational therapy (OT) and speech therapy (ST). Our physical therapy gym has a full array of exercise equipment biomechanically designed to fit children as well as a 32 foot long rock climbing wall. In addition, our physical therapy space has a baby-friendly room and a private treatment room. Our occupational therapy space features two sensory gyms and two fine motor rooms. The speech department boasts a number of individual treatment rooms. Each therapeutic program is individually designed to meet the needs of our clients. Our professional staff has many years of experience working with children. Physical Therapy Our team of physical therapists at CFZ has over 45 years of cumulative experience working exclusively with children to promote independence with functional mobility skills. Occupational Therapy Cheshire Fitness Zone occupational therapists help children develop the necessary skills for the job of living through play. Speech Therapy The speech and language team at CFZ offer specialized diagnostic and language services by completing comprehensive evaluations and treatment for a range of ages and patient needs. Feeding Therapy Our feeding team, comprised of Speech Language Pathologists and Occupational Therapists, apply principles from advanced training to evaluate and treat patients with feeding concerns. Aquatic Therapy Aquatic therapy is a fun and engaging type of therapy that uses the properties of water to achieve therapeutic gains that may be too difficult for a child to attain through land based therapy.
