Joan Manning

Joan Manning is an experienced education professional with a diverse background in mathematics and science leadership. Currently serving as the Human Resource Administrator for Staffing at Chesterfield County Public Schools since June 2023, Joan previously held the position of Math Specialist at Petersburg City Public Schools from August 2018 to September 2023. Additionally, Joan has worked as Affiliate Faculty in Mathematics at Virginia Commonwealth University and as a K-5 STEM Educator at the MathScience Innovation Center, where responsibilities included writing curriculum and developing professional development for K-12 teachers. Prior roles include serving as a Math Specialist in Henrico County Public Schools and a Teacher at Richmond Public Schools. Joan holds a Master’s Degree in Mathematics and Science Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from the University of North Alabama.
