Wayne Motley has extensive experience in the field of education, particularly in literacy curriculum development and instructional support. Since August 2007, Wayne has served as the Curriculum Specialist for the Secondary Literacy Department at Chesterfield County Public Schools, where responsibilities include balanced literacy curriculum design, assessments, professional development, and support for teachers across 11 high schools and 12 middle schools, along with a team of two literacy coaches. Wayne previously worked as an English teacher at Lloyd C Bird High School for 26 years, also holding the positions of department chair for six years and football coach for seven years. Wayne earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Arts in Teaching in English from James Madison University between 1975 and 1981.
