Fatima M. Smith, MSW, currently serves as the Chief Deputy Clerk for Chesterfield County since January 2024. As the founder of Collective 365 since June 2020, Fatima leads a network dedicated to celebrating and investing in Black and Brown communities in DC, MD, and VA through grant funding and capacity building. Fatima has extensive experience in public education and consulting through FMS Speaks, focusing on creating safer dialogue environments, and serves as a speaker for The Rise Journey, conducting workshops on inclusivity and mental health. Prior roles include Assistant Professor and Director of Field Education at Virginia Union University, Associate Director at The Grace E. Harris Leadership Institute, and multiple consultative and leadership positions in academic and community-focused organizations addressing issues such as sexual violence and domestic abuse. Fatima earned an MSW from Virginia Commonwealth University and a BS in Administration of Justice from George Mason University.
