Teresa Bonifas

Teresa Bonifas is an experienced communication professional currently serving as the Assistant Director for Constituent and Media Services in Chesterfield County since March 2015, with previous roles including Digital and Media Relations Manager and Public Information Officer. Prior to this, Teresa held the position of Communications Assistant at the Virginia Department of Health Professions from March 2012 to February 2015, where responsibilities included managing media requests and press releases for various health regulatory boards and establishing social media platforms. Earlier experience includes serving as a Media Relations Assistant at Coastal Carolina University from July 2009 to June 2011, focusing on media relations for several sports teams and promoting athletic events. Teresa holds a Social Media Professional Certificate from the University of Richmond, a Master of Education in Sport Leadership/Athletic Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a Bachelor of Science in Technical and Scientific Communication from James Madison University.
