Smithson Arrey is a Cloud Engineer at Chevron since August 2023, focusing on developing secure remote updating capabilities for IoT devices and designing containerized continuous integration environments for Industrial IoT sensors. Previously, Smithson held various leadership roles in the National Society of Black Engineers, including Chair Emeritus, President, Secretary, and Telecommunications Chair, contributing to the empowerment of student leaders and the growth of the organization. Smithson has also interned at PPG Industries as an Optical Physics Intern, where methodologies related to color accuracy were developed, and served in engineering roles at AIAA – University of Houston Chapter. Smithson holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from The Honors College at the University of Houston.
