Changbo Hu

Changbo Hu is a highly experienced professional in the field of machine learning and computer vision. Currently serving as the Sponsored Ads Science Team Lead and Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Chewy since April 2023, Changbo previously held the position of Principal Applied Scientist Lead at Microsoft from July 2018 to March 2023, where expertise in computer vision and machine learning was applied to the Microsoft ads understanding team. Prior roles include managing the Deep Learning and Computer Vision team as a Staff Research Scientist at Blippar from February 2016 to May 2018, and serving as the Lead Research Scientist at Aware, Inc. from February 2014 to February 2016. Changbo also contributed to research as a Research Scientist at the University of Texas from October 2007 to September 2013. Changbo holds a Bachelor's degree in Automation and Computer Science from Zhejiang University and a Ph.D. in Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition from the National Lab of Pattern Recognition.
