Farouk Gumel

Farouk Gumel is the Vice Chairman of Tropical General Investments (TGI) Group and currently serves as the Chairman of WACOT Rice Limited and Union Bank of Nigeria. With nearly two decades of experience, they have held prominent roles in consulting, corporate finance, and agricultural policy development, including advising the Nigerian Presidency on food security. Farouk was formerly a Partner at PwC, where they led the West African Advisory business, and has served on multiple boards and committees, contributing to significant national initiatives. Farouk holds a Master's degree in Clean Technology from Newcastle University and a First Class Bachelor's degree in Materials Technology from the University of Northampton.
