Rafiat Gawat

Rafiat Gawat has a diverse work experience in the field of corporate communication and marketing. Rafiat started their career as an intern at CentrespreadFCB in 2009. Rafiat then worked as an intern in the Funds Transfer Unit at GTBank PLC before joining Sterling Bank Plc as a Customer Service Officer in 2011. In 2014, they briefly worked as a Marketing and Communications Executive at CSL. Rafiat returned to Sterling Bank Plc in 2012, where they held various roles, including Contact Centre Agent, Communications (Internal and Online), and Corporate Communications. Rafiat joined Buzz Interactive Co. in 2016 as a Communications Manager before taking up their current position as the Head of Corporate Communication at Tropical General Investments (TGI) Group in 2017.

Rafiat Gawat completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mass Communication from Crescent University Abeokuta, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. Rafiat further pursued their education at Robert Gordon University, where they obtained a Master's degree in Corporate Communications and Public Affairs from 2013 to 2014.

In addition to their formal education, Rafiat Gawat obtained several certifications. In 2011, they became a Certified Associate of the Institute of Strategic Management, Nigeria. Rafiat also became a Member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations in 2012. Most recently, in 2021, they became a Member of the CIPR – Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
