Chicago Botanic Garden
Allan Kaufman has extensive experience in safety, training, and environmental health and safety management, spanning several decades. Currently a Volunteer Greeter at the Chicago Botanic Garden and an Ambassador for the Alliance for the Great Lakes, Kaufman previously served as a Caribbean Reef Diver at the John G. Shedd Aquarium, accumulating over 1,000 volunteer hours. In leadership roles, Kaufman was the National Chair for Distracted Driving at the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) and the President and CEO of the Compliance Resource Center, focusing on OSHA and DOT compliance. Kaufman's tenure at Quest Diagnostics included roles as Regional EHS Manager and Safety Auditor, while earlier experience encompasses compliance training management at Labelmaster and business development at the National Safety Council. A veteran of the United States Air Force, Kaufman holds multiple degrees in sports medicine and training, along with certifications in safety and compliance.
