Fabiany Herrera

Fabiany Herrera has work experience in various research positions. Fabiany started their career as a Research Intern at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute from September 2005 to December 2008. In March 2006, they worked as an Intern - Cleared Leaf Collection at the Smithsonian Institution until August 2006. In March 2014, they joined the Chicago Botanic Garden as a Research Associate, and in July 2017, they became an Adjunct Faculty Member at Elmhurst College.

Fabiany Herrera completed a Bachelor's degree in Geology/Earth Science, General at the Universidad Industrial de Santander from 1998 to 2004. From 2006 to 2008, they pursued a Master's degree in Geology/Earth Science, General at the University of Florida. Fabiany later earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Botany/Plant Biology/Paleobotany from the University of Florida, studying from 2009 to 2014.
