Ira Greenberg

Community Volunteer at Chicago Botanic Garden

Ira Greenberg has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning across multiple industries and roles. Ira has been a Community Volunteer at the Chicago Botanic Garden since February 2017 and a Board Member at both the Anti-Defamation League and Shermer Square since June 2017. Ira served as the Community Involvement Lead Chairperson at PMI eBusiness SIG starting from 2008. From 2013 to 2017, Ira worked at Anixter as a Project Portfolio Manager and Portfolio Manager, where they were responsible for various projects including asset tracking, I/T conversion, and data center establishment. Prior to Anixter, they worked as a Program Manager at Harmer Associates and served as the Finance Director at Morris Greenberg and Company from 1973 to 2011. Ira also gained valuable experience at EDS, an HP Company, where they held roles such as Account Delivery Manager and Program Manager, overseeing various projects related to security and service desk operations. Ira started their professional career as a Budget Officer at Illinois Bell in 1988.

Ira Greenberg obtained their Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture (BSLA) from Penn State University between 1968 and 1973. After that, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and Real Estate from the University of Denver from 1980 until 1983. In addition to their degrees, Ira Greenberg also obtained the certification of Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute in January 2000.
