Jess Goehler

Jess Goehler has extensive experience in horticulture and botanic consulting, currently serving as a Curator and Plant Recorder at the Chicago Botanic Garden since May 2019. Prior roles include independent consulting from April 2012 to 2018, where Jess designed sustainable gardens, led horticulture classes, and managed project logistics. As Horticulture Manager at Greenwise Organic Lawn Care from September 2014 to August 2016, Jess oversaw daily operations for multiple crews and developed educational programs. Previous roles at the Chicago Botanic Garden and Denver Zoo provided foundational experience in event management and horticultural planning. Jess holds an MA in Urban Geography with a focus on GIS from Chicago State University and a BA in Environmental Plant Biology from Ohio University.
