Ryan Lothian

Ryan Lothian currently serves as the Senior Manager of Conservation Impact at the Chicago Botanic Garden, a position held since September 2023. Prior to this role, Ryan was the Manager of Science Communications and held multiple marketing and management positions across various organizations, including Christy Webber Farm & Garden Center as a Native Plants Sales and Contract Writer, and Resource Environmental Solutions LLC as Marketing Manager. Ryan’s experience encompasses web management, content creation, and marketing strategy development, notably at the Forest Preserves of Cook County and John J. Lothian & Company, Inc. In addition to practical experience, Ryan has contributed to academia as a Lecturer at DePaul University, teaching a course on web content management. Educational qualifications include a BS in Media Studies from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an MA in New Media Studies from DePaul University.
