Mark Unruh

Mark Unruh is a California-certified engineering geologist and hydrogeologist with extensive experience in site assessments, geotechnical investigations, and site characterizations focused on hydrogeology, structural geology, stratigraphy, and seismicity. Currently serving as a Project Manager at Bhate since October 2018, Mark has held similar positions at CB&I since February 2013 and at Shaw Environmental, Inc. from 2001 to 2013. Previous roles include Project Manager and Hydrogeologist at IT Corporation from 1984 to 2001 and Engineering Geologist at The IT Group. Mark specializes in geotechnical aspects of landfill and waste facility siting, design, construction, and remediation, with expertise in soil and slope stability analysis, fault assessment, and evaluation of site geologic hazards. Mark holds a Master of Science in Geology from California State University, Northridge, and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Earth Science from California State University, Fullerton.
