Ariel G. Schwartz

Ariel G. Schwartz, Ph.D., currently serves as the Executive Director of Global Leadership Programs at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, where responsibilities include developing and managing global leadership programs and directing curricular development. Prior to this role, Ariel held positions at Northwestern University, including Associate Director for Research at the Buffett Institute for Global Affairs, where oversight involved interdisciplinary research and funding allocation, and as a Visiting Lecturer for various undergraduate courses. Ariel's early career includes freelance tutoring, copy editing, and experience with the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee in India, in addition to an internship with NBC News. Educational qualifications encompass a Ph.D. and Master's degrees in Religion/Religious Studies from Northwestern University and multiple Bachelor's degrees in Religion from Barnard College, Columbia University, and the Jewish Theological Seminary of America.
