Chevy Humphrey

Director at Chicago Council on Science and Technology

Chevy Humphrey is the current Director at the Chicago Council on Science and Technology. Prior to this, they served as the President & CEO of the Arizona Science Center for 23 years. During their time there, they oversaw a 200,000 square foot facility with more than 330 employees and volunteers. Chevy also spearhead a financial turnaround for the organization, expanding its assets nearly twelve-fold. In addition, they conceptualized a multi-faceted Learning Team that now serves as a national exemplar for supporting schools and districts across Arizona in delivering high-quality science learning. Chevy has also secured internationally renowned featured exhibitions during their tenure, including the world debut of Victoria the T.rex. Furthermore, they have brokered strategic partnerships for the Arizona Science Center with high-impact businesses, nonprofit organizations, institutions of higher education, civic institutions, and advocacy organizations across the state. Lastly, they have led high-impact fund development campaigns to support significant organizational growth. Prior to their work at the Arizona Science Center, Chevy served as the Director of Development at The Phoenix Symphony.

Chevy Humphrey has a Doctorate of Business Administration from Grand Canyon University, a Master of Business Administration from Northeastern University, and an Executive Program for Nonprofit Leaders from Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Chevy also has a Boards that Lead Program from The Wharton School and an Advanced Management Certification from Yale University. Chevy is certified by the NACD in Director Professionalism.
