Holly Copeland is the Director at the Chicago Council on Science and Technology. Holly has previously worked as the Deputy Director for the Office of Entrepreneurship, Innovation, & Technology for the State of Illinois. In this role, they managed a $144 million portfolio of programs and services.

Holly has also worked as a Shopping.Gives, Horizon, and MATTER. In their role at Shopping.Gives, they were responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with the BioTech industry and Illinois’ University tech development and commercialization parks.

Holly is committed to fostering inclusion of minorities and women in the Tech ecosystem. Holly has sponsored 300 high school girls to visit Argonne National Lab for a day and launched CreatingIlTalent, a partnership with GenexusUSA, YWCAChicago, and BLUE1647, that trains minorities and women how to code.

Holly Copeland has a Master's degree in International Affairs - Political Economy from Washington University in St. Louis, a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Illinois Springfield, and a Graduate Certificate in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from the University of Illinois Springfield. Holly also has a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) with a Minor in Management Information Systems from the University of Illinois Springfield.
