Jayla Rufus

As the Manager of Youth Engagement, Jayla coordinates the development and implementation of CRED’s new youth program aimed at serving 13-17-year-olds in the Roseland/Pullman area, working closely with the outreach, program, and clinical teams.

As a Chicago native, her love for her city and the youths she has gotten to know drives her passion for her work. Prior to her role as manager of youth engagement, Jayla joined the CRED team as part of the Youth Advisory Board in 2016 and was a Peacemaker intern in 2017.

Jayla is a Posse Scholar alumna and 2018 graduate of DePaul University in Greencastle, Indiana with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and minor in Africana Studies.
