Althea Jean Stockton Barboza has held various positions in different organizations, such as Substance Use Disorders Program Manager at Chicago Family Health Center, Addictions Counselor at South Suburban Council on Alcoholism and Substance Abuse, Night Auditor at Residence Inn by Marriott and Marriott Hotels, and Student Office Assistant at University of Illinois Chicago. Althea has pursued higher education, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of Illinois Chicago and a Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School after completing high school at Dwight D.Eisenhower High School.

Founded in 1977, Chicago Family Health Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center providing quality, affordable primary care, oral health services, and social support programs to medically underserved and uninsured in the Southeast and Southwest side of Chicago Southside. CFHC Mission: Chicago Family Health Center will promote health, work to prevent disease and provide treatment through the delivery of quality, accessible primary healthcare that is culturally sensitive, affordable, and responsive to community and individual needs.
