Joe Barker

Joe Barker is an experienced education professional currently serving as the Director of Human Resources, Athletic Director, and Technology Integration Specialist for the Chicago Heights School District 170 since August 2011. In addition to these roles, Joe also teaches math, science, and computer coding at the newly developed STEM Magnet Academy, specializing in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, and HTML, and holds certification as a Project Lead The Way teacher in Design and Modeling and Automation and Robotics. Previously, Joe served as a Varsity Assistant Basketball Coach at Marian Catholic High School from November 2011 to March 2019. Joe earned a Master of Business Administration with a focus on School Finance from Concordia University and a Bachelor of Education from Illinois State University.
