Assistant Principal/ Athletic Director at Chicago Heights School District 170

Nick Pezzuto serves as the Senior Director of Learning, People & Culture at Midwest Teachers Institute since April 2010, where responsibilities include leading and managing a portfolio of four universities, developing over one hundred nationally accredited continuing education graduate courses, and training Ph.D. faculty, teachers, and staff. Additionally, since August 2013, Nick holds the position of Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Chicago Heights School District 170, focusing on staff training and addressing disciplinary issues for students and student athletes. Nick also directs the STEM Magnet Academy of Chicago Heights, creating a cross-curricular STEM program aligned with college and career readiness initiatives. Nick's previous experience includes roles as a Business & Technology Instructor at Bloom Trail High School and an Adjunct Professor at Calumet College of St. Joseph. Nick holds multiple advanced degrees in education and administration from Olivet Nazarene University and Calumet College of St. Joseph, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from DePaul University.
