Heather Gleason

Director, Planning & Construction at Chicago Park District

Heather Gleason is the current Director of Planning & Construction at the Chicago Park District. Heather has over fifteen years of experience in the field of urban planning and development. Prior to their current position, Heather served as the Assistant Commissioner for the Department of Zoning and Land Use Planning, which is now known as Housing and Economic Development. Heather also worked as an Associate for the Metropolitan Planning Council for four years. Throughout their career, Heather has been committed to making positive changes in their community and improving the quality of life for all residents.

Heather Gleason has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in Political Science and a Masters in Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois Chicago.

Heather Gleason reports to Rosa Escareño, Interim General Superintendent & CEO. They are on a team with Michele Lemons - Director, Communications, Dana Zilinski - Director, Revenue, and Perla Gonzalez - Deputy Director, HR.
