Douglas Johnson

Douglas Johnson is a seasoned musician and educator with extensive experience in various musical roles. Since 2015, Johnson has contributed as a Guest Artist for whitewolfsonicprincess and as a Bassist for Grace Lutheran Church Bach Cantata Vespers. As President and Founder of Spiritflake Music, established in 2010, Johnson manages an artist-owned label featuring the group Gunnelpumpers, where Johnson also serves as Bandleader. Additional musical involvement includes serving as Section Bass and Principal Bass with the Chicago Philharmonic since 2006, performing with The Cleveland Orchestra in 2016, and engaging as a Substitute Bassist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra from 1997 to 2013. With a robust background in software development as Section Manager at Argonne National Laboratory since 1998, Johnson holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Performance from Northwestern University, earned between 1984 and 1988.
